Below are frequently asked questions, you may find the answer for yourself

You’ll find answers to some of most common questions. If you don’t find an answer to your question in this section, please contact us via chat bubble or use the contact form from our website or simply email us with your concerns or queries and we’ll do our best to help you.

Q1. How quickly my order will be dispatched?

All orders placed before 2 pm are processed and dispatched on the same day. Some bespoke orders require longer to prepare and are dispatched on following working day. Orders received after 2 pm and over the weekends (including Bank Holidays) are processed and dispatched on the next working day.

Q2. When are you open for inquiries?

Our ware house and customer service working hours are 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (Mon-Fri), We are closed on weekends and bank holidays for all kind of enquiries.

Q3. Do you offer free deliveries?

Yes, We offer free delivery on all orders over the Value of £15 (including VAT) . All orders £15 or less than this value The delivery charge of  £3.75 will apply no matter how many items are in your basket (this excludes pallet or oversize items). Any pallet size item delivery will incur a charge of £25 plus VAT which will be collected before delivery is made and we’ll inform you of this delivery charge if it is applicable.

Q4. How is my order sent and how would I know it’s dispatched?

We use Tracked  delivery service – takes 5-7 working days to deliver once the order is dispatched. Our mean average delivery time is 4 working days after dispatch. For some orders it may take longer where they need special preparation or bespoke ordering. A tracking number will be sent via update on your order, email or text (whichever applies) once the order is picked up by the courier (normally within 1 working day of collection by the courier company).

Q5. How long will my delivery take?

We use Tracked delivery service using reputable courier partners. This service takes up to 5-7 working days to deliver following the day of dispatch.

Q6. Could I upgrade for next working day delivery and how much it costs extra?

We offer express deliver on small and medium parcels for a charge of £8.95. This is not available on pallet deliveries and oversize items. Please refer to our full terms and conditions or email your enquiry or chat with us through our website.

Q7. Are all the products on your website held in stock?

Yes, all products on our website are stocked. We have access to Brand suppliers; if something you ordered and is not in stock we’ll notify you promptly and your shopping basket will be adjusted or a refund will be made accordingly within 48 hours.

Q8. I can’t find an item that I need on your website, can you get it for me?

Our stocks are updated regularly. We can only offer you at the time of order the items we hold in our stocks.

Q9. What if I buy something and then want to return it?

Don’t worry, we offer a 14 days return policy. Just email us to inform us that you would like to return an item. Please read return, refunds and cancellation policy. Remember to send the item in the original condition it came in and is unused and seals are not opened (where applicable). It’s strongly advised to use a tracked or signed delivery for your returns and a proof of postage obtained for all of your returns. We’ll refund you within 5-7 working days of receipt of your return. Unfortunately, we cannot refund postage costs. We can’t accept returns or issue refunds for used items are where the original packaging has been damaged or not available. For bespoke items we may deduct 10% plus VAT or £12 whichever is greater a restocking charge or we may decline a refund altogether (we’ll issue you invoice stating these terms when bespoke order is accepted).

Q10. Do you ship outside of the UK?

We normally ship items to UK based customers. But overseas customers may place an order by contacting us by telephone or email. Emails can be sent to
info@edgingtapesanddiy.co.uk .Postage costs of such orders will be based on the country it’s dispatched to. We only dispatch items by a tracked delivery for our international sales.

Q11. I don’t know what type of edging tape or wood stain I need for my project?

If you are unsure which edging tape or wood finishing product to buy we have a range of samples available. You can buy these samples for a small price to match with your project need and then order the roll with confidence. We also offer a sample matching service where you can send us your samples and we match them with our extensive range of edging tapes. You can also email or call us for advice.

Q12. Can I email you an image of a Decor that I am trying to match?

You can send us images, but It is unlikely that we will be able to accurately suggest a match to any product purely based on image. We always advice on purchasing samples or sending us a sample by post where we can provide best matches.

Q13. I haven’t used Wood Finishing Products before, can you help?

Yes, we have full guides and video on applying edging tapes, stains or wax fillers.

Q14. Do I need special tools when using edging tape?

No, a sharp Stanley blade for trimming excess edging will be sufficient for small jobs. We also have hand held edge trimming tool on offer for a competitive price this will make trimming excess edges very easy.

Q15. How long do you take to respond to my email inquiry?

We answer all emails received within 2-3 working days. For bespoke order inquiries or colour matching sample inquiries where we need to contact suppliers this can be between 2-5 working days. We’ll respond all inquiries and complaints within 14 days of receiving them with our final response. This timeframe may be longer during Christmas holidays or during a pandemic such as Covid outbreak.
